Kadapa: Rs 13.67 crores distributed to 13,672 beneficiaries under Vahana Mitra

Kadapa: Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha said that about 90 percent of assurances given during 2019 electioneering by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy were fulfilled.

The Deputy Chief Minister distributed Rs 13.67 crore to 13,672 beneficiaries under YSR Vahana Mitra here on Thursday.

Addressing a meeting on the occasion, he said though government has been facing serious financial constraints, Chief Minister has taken steps in fulfilling assurances within one year rule in the interests of public.

Amzath Basha disclosed that Rs 262.49 crore were distributed to the 2,62,493 beneficiaries under YSR Vahana Mitra scheme in the state.

He said that this amount will be more useful to the Auto, Taxi, workers during the present circumstances as they are facing financial hurdles.

He said that as many as 37,756 people were additionally added under this scheme in the state. He said government will strive to fulfil all assurances in a phased manner.

District Collector Ch Harikiran said that 13,672 auto, taxi workers were given Rs13.67 crores under YSR Vahana Mitra Scheme in the district.

He said this year 2,672 people were added under this scheme. DRO Raghunath, RDO Santhakumari, DTC Nageswara Rao and others were present.
