Kakani rubbishes phone tapping allegations of Sridhar Reddy
Nellore: Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy said that there was no tapping of Nellore rural legislator Kotamreddy's phone, but it seems he was trapped by TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu.
The Minister addressed the media in the city on Friday and said the decision of the MLA to quit the YSRCP could become suicidal in his career and said if his allegations were true, why he had failed to take the issue to the notice of the Centre for action or approach the court for justice. He said there was a huge demand for Assembly tickets in 2019 and Jagan Mohan Reddy allotted YSRCP ticket for Nellore rural constituency to Sridhar Reddy despite requests by others.
Govardhan Reddy said since Chandrababu Naidu now gave his nod for Kotamreddy's entry into the TDP, he was making baseless phone tapping allegations against the YSRCP government. The Minister said a probe would be conducted into sand mining and sale of liquor in Nellore rural constituency. He exuded confidence that the YSRCP would register victory in all the constituencies in the erstwhile Nellore district in 2024 elections.
He said nothing will happen if Sridhar Reddy leaves the YSRCP and there are several other leaders in the constituency.
