Kakinada: Adikavi Nannayya University VC P Suresh Varma asks students to hone skills

Kakinada: Adikavi Nannayya University VC P Suresh Varma exhorted the students to take eminent personalities and scientists as role models in their life. Participating in first anniversary of ASD Government Degree College for Women (A) here on Wednesday, Varma said the students should strive hard to acquire knowledge and update their skills to get good employment opportunities.

Recalling the names of famous scientists and intellectual personalities like A P J Abdul Kalam, M Visveswarayya and Sir Arthur Cotton, he motivated the students to take them as role models and succeed in their bright career. Presiding over the ceremony, College Principal M Suvarchala said that it is a proud moment to acknowledge the academic achievements of students and advised them to work hard to hone their skills to get plenty of employment opportunities.

RJD of Collegiate Education M Babu Rao encouraged the students to improve communication skills to acquire good positions in society. Sridevi, lecturer in Physics and the Controller of Examinations, gave report on the results of the passed-out batches of academic years 2015-16 to 2018-19 after conferment of autonomy status. Vice Chancellor Dr P Suresh Varma awarded degrees to the students and honored the toppers with gold medals.

He made the recipients to take the oath of graduation. Members of governing body and academic cell, CPDC members, former Principal Dr Ratnagiri Usha, Vice Principal P Syama, staff, parents and students were present.
