Kakinada: Annavaram temple opens from 6 am to 10 am

Kakinada: Annavaram Devasthanam Executive Officer Vendra Trinath Rao said that the temple will be open for darshan from 6 am to 10 am as per the instructions of the District Collector. While speaking to media here on Wednesday, Trinatha Rao said that permission is accorded for the Satyanarayana Swamy vrathams only from 6 am to 8 am.

He said that the devotees who come after 8 am will not be issued the vratam and darshan tickets. He said that devotees should follow social distancing norms. They will have to wear masks and use sanitizer every 30 minutes. He said that the devotees should avoid touching the ropes and rods as much as possible and maintain a gap of 5-6 feet between one another.

He said that those who have been permitted should come to the temple 30 minutes before the scheduled time. He advised the devotees to bring Aadhar cards and must wear the masks and clean their hands with sanitizers on the temple premises. He said that as a precautionary measure of Covid -19 devotees are not allowed to enter the Garbhalaya and Antaralaya darshans, but Only laghu darshan is allowed.

He said that he has given the instructions to security and other staff on how to handle the devotees during the checking time at temple premises at Annavaram. Trinatha Rao said that the tonsure of heads (Kesa Khandana) will be allowed from 6 am to 10 am and nobody will be allowed for the Kesa khandana after 10 am. He suggested that the devotees may observe the timings as per the instructions of the authorities.
