Kakinada: BJP-JSP crucial meet tomorrow
Kakinada: A crucial meeting of Jana Sena Party and the state BJP leaders will be held in Vijayawada on January 16.
This meeting assumes great political significance in the backdrop of the meetings Pawan Kalyan had with BJP working president J P Nadda on January 13.
According to Pawan Kalyan, he drew the attention of BJP senior leaders towards the prevailing situation in Andhra Pradesh and how Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's statement that they would have three capitals had led to agitation in Amravati capital region and the state has been thrown into state of confusion.
He said he had told the BJP Central leadership as to how the acts of the government had resulted in investors moving out and no new investors were willing to come to the state and how the state was being denied of the benefit of programmes introduced by the Centre.
Replying to a question on three capitals, Pawan said that the YSRCP had claimed that they were introducing the concept of village secretariats to take governance to the door-step of the common people. "When that is being done, then where is the need to shift capital and waste public money again? No one asked the government to shift the capital.
It is the YSRCP leaders who want the capital to be shifted, not the people. If the party had any such intention, in the first place it should not have supported the resolution on Amaravati in Assembly. Even before elections, it did not say anything about the shifting of the capital," he said.
The Jana Sena chief refused to take any more questions on this issue saying that he would come out with all details at a joint press conference with BJP on January 16.
