Kakinada: A small stretch of Kakinada – Rajamahendrvaram Bypass way turned into a mango vendors' zone in summer as vendors, including growers sell a variety of mangoes on their pushcarts. The mango fruits are displayed in a striking way to catch the attention of motorists.

A mango vendor from Vadisaleru village says, "I sell mangoes from 6 am to 6 pm and earn an average income of Rs 1,000 daily. Sometimes I get more. People commuting by cars and also two-wheelers stop and buy fruits."

He said that due to the Janata Curfew, he didn't sell the mango fruits on Sunday. He said that Banginapalli, Rasalu, Kottapalli Kobbari and other mango varieties are available in the market.

He said that one dozen of Banginapalli mangoes cost Rs 180. The vendor employs two or three assistants to assist him in marketing his fruits by making gestures to commuters to stop their vehicles at their cart.
