Kakinada: CITU stages dharna at Collectorate
Kakinada: CITU state vice-president V Uma Maheshwara Rao has alleged that the workers of Aurobindo Pharma were facing many difficulties because of its 'anti-worker' policy.
Participating in a dharna under the aegis of CITU in support of the workers held at Collectorate here on Wednesday, he said the management was not fulfilling the demands of workers for 22 months and not even discussing with the workers in this regard. About 4,500 workers are working in the company amidst dangerous circumstances and chemicals which poses health hazards to the working fraternity, he lamented.
He demanded that the management of Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals fulfill the demands of the workers immediately.
Otherwise, the agitation will be intensified, he warned.
CITU general secretary C Raj Kumar and hundreds of workers took part in the protest.
