Kakinada: Collector D Muralidhar Reddy inspects Rythu Bazar

District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy and Joint Collector G. Lakshmisha giving suggestions to the people at Gandhinagar Rythu Bazar, Kakinada on Tuesday.

Kakinada: District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy warned farmers against increasing the prices of the vegetables and said stringent action would be taken against them. Collector Reddy along with Joint Collector G Lakshmisha inspected the Rythu Bazar at Gandhinagar here on Tuesday.

He suggested to the people to support the ongoing measures to prevent and contain Covid-19 and said that the state government has imposed section 144 in the district. He advised the people who entered the Rythu Bazar to wash their hands and avoid contracting or spreading the dreaded coronavirus in the district.

He said that Covid-19 was a global pandemic, and added that there was a need for social distancing to prevent the spread of the infection. Reddy suggested to the people to make a habit of personal hygiene and stop spitting in public places to stop the spread of Covid-19. Reddy said that essential services will remain open during the time of lockdown. He said that they are only allowed to go out from 6 am to 10:00 am for the purchase of essential goods, milk, fruits and vegetables and no vehicles will be allowed after 10 am.
