Kakinada: Constitution Day celebrated at JNTU-K
Kakinada: Constitution Day celebrations were held at JNTU-K campus on Tuesday under the auspices of the University Games & Sports Administration (UGSA) Directorate and the JNTU-K NSS unit at the Alumni Auditorium.
JNTU-K Vice-Chancellor Prof M Ramalingaraju was the chief guest on the occasion. He said that from the student stage, every person should be aware of the Constitution and explain the necessity of the Constitution to others.
Dr BR Ambedkar was the architect of Indian Constitution, which is the largest written constitution in the world. Students should take inspiration from the life of Dr Ambedkar who came up in life the hard way, in spite of several difficulties.
He said that the Government of India and the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education Council (APSCHE) have been mandated to hold Constitution Day celebrations till April 14, 2020. Competitions in essay-writing, seminars and awareness programmes will be held, he added.
Kakinada Bar Association former president Jawahar Ali said that Indian Constitution Day is also known as Samvidhan Diwas. Students have a great responsibility to develop the nation as future engineers.
