Kakinada: Corporate schools violate rules
Kakinada: Despite the order for closure of schools, certain managements of schools conducted classes on Thursday.
District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy directed the officials that the closure of educational institutions applies to students and administrative staff of both private and public institutions and advised the students to stay at home and go for online education.
Some Corporate schools are violating the directions of state government in the city and functioned regularly here on Thursday at the cost of the life of the students. The government issued the GO on Wednesday to shut down all government and private educational institutions including coaching centers but in vain. They ignored the Collector and district officials' orders.
Many parents are expressing unhappiness over the attitude of corporate educational institutions and demanding the district officials to initiate stern action against the educational institutions immediately.
District Educational Officer S Abraham, speaking to The Hans India here on Thursday, said that it may be due to the late receiving of the orders. However, he said that stringent action will be taken against those who run the classes on Friday. They can't run the schools till March 31, he added.
