Kakinada: CRPF holds volleyball tourney, medical camp

Volleyball trophy being given to the winners

Kakinada: As a part of the Civic Action Programme, 42 Bn Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Donkarai, which is deployed in the interior Agency areas organised a week long volleyball tournament and a free medical camp at Zilla Parishad High School, Donkarai in East Godavari district on Sunday.

Specialist doctors in the dental, ENT, ophthalmology and general from Sathya Sri Dental Clinic, Ajay ENT Hospital and Paramahansa Yogananda Netralaya, Rajahmundry participated in the medical camp and distributed medicine to 450 beneficiaries falling within the Donkarai limits.

In this connection, a volleyball tournament was also organised as a part of Civic Action Programme, in which 21 teams from various villages of Donkarai limits were participated. In finals, Bachuluru and Mangampadu village teams were played and team of Bachuluru village won the "Winner Trophy" of volleyball tournament. Satish Kumar, Commandant-42 Bn, distributed sports items to all the volleyball tournament participants.

Food was arranged and provided to more than 1000 villagers. The programme was a big success and appreciated by the local people. They felt very happy participating in the volleyball tournament.

Unit officers of 42 Bn, CRPF, Aakula Venkata Ramana, ITDA PO Kadar Basha, Chinturu SDPO KV Ramana and others were present on the occasion.
