Kakinada: Electrical junction box posing serious safety hazard to public

Kakinada: An electrical junction box in the SC hostel area at Mallayya Agraharanm, Gandhinagar is in fully open condition posing serious safety hazard to public, especially children.

A resident of Mallayya Agraharam AVD Menta Rao reported about the problem to the concerned authorities and requested them to address this issue immediately before an accident happens.

He said that these electrical junction boxes are a grave danger to passersby. Rao said that there are short circuits during rain and in worst cases they lead to fire.

The location of these transformers is near dustbins in most areas in Gandhinagar and Jagannaickpur, which is daily threat to residents.

He said that plenty of times he had given complaints to the APEPDCL authorities to close the box. But the negligence of authorities is a threat to residents and kids especially, he lamented.
