Kakinada: Encourage students to study science, teachers told

Kakinada: Samagra Shiksha project coordinator B Vijay Bhaskar has said that science was the need of the hour and it became part and parcel of our life.

Participating in Science Day celebrations held here on Wednesday, he said because of science, many new things came into limelight and many scientists invented new works. The students should inculcate the habit of studying science which benefits a lot to the students and asked the teachers to encourage the students to study science subjects.

He said that the Central and State governments were also encouraging the students to study science subject in various ways. He said a scientist can do good to the country with his new inventions.

Social Welfare Officer B Vanajakshi said science was a tool to invent new things. The subject has its importance. Students studying with science group are having bright future, she added. She urged the students not to neglect the study of basic sciences.

Bala Vedika convener Nori Rama Krishna and others were present on the occasion.
