Kakinada: Government to distribute 25 lakh house sites in State
Kakinada: Principal Secretary Praveen Prakash inspected the lands intended for housing plots in Kakinada Rural and Samalkota on Saturday and Sunday.
Speaking to the media, he said that that as a part of 'Navaratnalu', Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was implementing all social welfare schemes for the benefit of the poor. The Chief Minister is likely to participate in Rachha Banda programme across the state and elicit information regarding the beneficiaries of the land pattas.
Prakash said that the State government had planned for the distribution of 25 lakh house site pattas all over the State.
As part of the programme, land allotment was being scrutinized in the district, he added.
He also inspected salt lands, port lands, SEZ lands in Komaragiri Patnam village, Kakinada Rural and lands in Samalkota.
District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy gave a detailed report regarding the lands for the purpose of allotment of sites to the poor. RDOs Chinni Krishna and others were present.
