Kakinada: Leaders use choicest abuses in DRC meeting
Kakinada: The internal- conflicts came out between the ruling party leaders in particular Rajya Sabha Member Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Kakinada MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy and also TDP MLA Nimmakayala China Rajappa in the District Review Committee (DRC) meeting held here on Monday.
Bose stated that there is a huge corruption in TIDCO and he wanted the officials and Ministers to probe into it. He stated that in view of the construction of the bridge at Madeline at Kakinada should be stopped as it would likely to cause floods and consequently the urban and rural areas of Kakinada would be submerged. On this issue there was a heated exchange of words between MLA Reddy and Bose.
Both YSRCP leaders used highly filthy and foul and vulgar language without caring about the presence of women and district incharge Minister Dharmana Krishna Das. MLA Reddy candidly stated " I am not Mahatma Gandhi" and I won't spare if anybody says anything against me. And he added that there is no chance for corruption in the YSRCP government.
Bose said that he would hand over the list of those who indulged in corruption in TIDCO to the District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy. This exchange of heated words between the two leaders made them the laughing stock and the butt of ridicule.
Bose raised a question that corruption was held in allotment of Andhra Pradesh Township and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APTIDCO) houses and also awarding of gravel mining to the only one contractor. He also raised the issue of the new bridge constructed by the contractors near Madeline. He said that due to the construction of the bridge there will be a great threat to Kakinada. While the Mining officials had given explanation to awarding contractor. Bose wasn't satisfied with the reply. Meanwhile, MLA Chandrasekhar Reddy gave explanation about the TIDCO houses and it led to huge arguments between Bose and Chandrasekhar Reddy.
East Godavari District Review Committee meeting was held on Monday at the Zilla Parishad Conference Hall under the chairmanship of District In charge Minister Dharmana Krishnadas here on Monday. Social Welfare Minister Pinipe Vishwaroop, Agriculture Minister Kursala Kannababu, BC Welfare Minister Chelluboina Venugopala Krishna, MPs, MLCs, MLAs and District Collector D. Muralidhar Reddy and other officials were present on the occasion.
Collector D Muralidhar Reddy said that the third DRC meeting was delayed due to the Covid -19 pandemic.
