Kakinada: Transport and I & PR Minister Perni Venkataramaiah (Perni Nani) sated that the migrant workers are being sent to their destinations by the Shramik trains. Nani and Social Welfare Minister Pinipe Viswaroop visited camp office here on Saturday.

Nani said that the data pertaining to the migrant workers was obtained from relevant MROs and VROs and sent to District Collectors for onward transmission to state task force. After obtaining required information from the state governments, transport facilities will be arranged for migrant workers, he added.

Similarly Andhra workers stranded in other states will also be brought back to our state after following due procedural norms. Those migrant workers hailing from West Bengal and Odisha will be sent for quarantine and necessary food and other arrangements will be provided to them. After end of their quarantine period, they will be sent to their destinations. Instructions are also issued to the police department in this regard, he said.
