Kakinada: Retired principals likely to get revised salaries from July 1
Kakinada: Despite the pleas of president and general secretary of Retired College Teachers Association (RCTA) for placing principals' cadre in the 14th academic level, the officials concerned have paid a deaf year and ignored their representations. They always argued for lacking time to study the pattern of pay scales, particularly principals' cadre.
Recently, the state government has issued a memo keeping all lecturers including principals by clubbing them with selection grade lecturers paying scant respect for the principals cadre. Thanks to the pioneering efforts of B Parthasaradhi, K V Ramana Reddy, Dr N K Visweswar Rao and S Krishna of All India Federation of University and College Teachers' Organisation (AIFUCTO), they assured of according 14th academic level to the principals once the concordance table are issued by UGC.
Instantly the executive of RCTA namely Ramana Reddy, president of RCTA and S V Krishna Rao, general secretary of RCTA respectively, visited the office of Director of Treasuries and Account (DTA) and persuaded the DTA, JD and AD of the department to issue a memo for the payment of new revised salary to principals on July 1 without further delay.
