Kakinada: Swami Paripoornanada of Sri Peetham, Kakinada, demanded that the State government issue a white paper on lands, jewellery and other valuable items belonging to various Hindu temples across the State.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, the Swamiji expressed concern over lack of facilities for Dhupa, Deepa, Naivedyam in 20,000 temples in Andhra Pradesh. He further said that after bequeathing the temples to the Indian administration in 1947, no Chief Minister had issued a white paper on the status of the properties of the temples in the State.

He questioned why the leaders failed to disclose the details of the properties of the temples till now.

The Swamiji alleged that at least 5 lakh acres of land of temples vanished in the State.

However, Paripoornananda Swamy expressed thanks to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for stopping the auction of the TTD properties in Tamil Nadu.
