Kakinada: Transport workers stage dharna

Kakinada: CITU city president Palivela Veerababu and Transport Association leaders demanded that the state government immediately withdraw increased tax on petrol and diesel.

The CITU leaders and Transport Association leaders staged dharna in front of Collectorate here on Sunday.

They raised slogans denouncing the Central and State governments for frequent hike in prices of petroleum products.

Veerababu said that they are very happy over implementation of YSR Vahana Mitra in the state. However, the state government has been hiking the petrol and diesel prices in the state.

Due to the increase of petrol and diesel prices, transport sector suffered a lot in the state.
