Kanigiri: Minister for Energy, Forests, Environment, Science and Technology Balineni Srinivasa Reddy requested the public to stand by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy while the Telugu Desam and Bharatiya Janata Party were hatching conspiracies to defame him.

The minister participated in the housing plots distribution programme in Kanigiri assembly constituency on Tuesday.

Speaking at the programme held at Chilakapadu in Pamur mandal, along with the local MLA Burra Madhusudan Yadav, Srinivasa Reddy said that the TDP and BJP leaders were unable to digest the recognition and support to the Chief Minister and trying to defame him and stop the welfare schemes.

He alleged that to disturb the peace in the state, Chandrababu Naidu was sending miscreants to damage the temples and idols of deities in villages and advised the public to be vigilant in their areas to protect the worshipping places.

He announced that they were distributing housing pattas to 1,305 beneficiaries in Chilakapadu and wished them to live happily forever in the new colony.
