Kanugulavanipeta beach to get facelift worth `1.5 crore
Srikakulam: Sea shore at Kanugulavanipeta village near Srikakulam city would be improved with Rs 1.5 crore funds, said joint collector (JC) K V N Chakradhara Babu. He inspected the beach at the village along with revenue officials and surveyors on Thursday.
The JC directed the revenue and survey staff to locate three acres extent of land adjacent to beach for development works as part of tourism promotion. Speaking on the occasion, the JC said that development works proposed at Kanugulavanipeta beach would be taken up under public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
As part of it, cement chairs, stands, concrete idols and parks would be constructed to attract tourists, he said. In addition to it, garbage collection and recycling machine would be arranged at beach to maintain sanitation, he added.
