Karthika Masam fete begins at Srisailam temple in Kurnool

Kurnool: The Srisailam Devasthanam has been decked up for the Karthika Masam which commenced on Tuesday. The month long festivities will conclude on November 28 with Laksha deepotsavam.

Addressing press conference at Sri Bramarambha Mallikarjuna Swami temple office, EO KS Rama Rao said that they are expecting nearly 20 lakh devotees during the month. The number may increase on Mondays and Saturdays.

Formation of queues, anna danam, water supply, ghat road electrification, cloakrooms, chappal stands, toilets and temporary dressing rooms have been arranged for the convenience of devotees, he said.

Arches have been erected at various places of Srisailam Town giving warm welcome to the pilgrims, arrange lights at bathing ghats and showers for holy bath at Pathalaganga. Barricades for special queue lines at main temple were also arranged, he said.
