KCR enacting dramas on Polavaram: Uma
Vijayawada: Water Resources Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was enacting dramas on Polavaram Project and conspiring with YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy against Andhra Pradesh.
He alleged that the TRS government was hatching conspiracy against Andhra Pradesh and creating hurdles for construction of Polavaram Project. Addressing the media at the party office here on Tuesday, Devineni questioned why TRS leaders filed petitions in Supreme Court against the construction of Polavaram Project when KCR was not opposing the construction of project.
Uma on Tuesday responded to the statement given by Chandrashekar Rao on Monday that the Telangana government was supporting the Special Category Status (SCS) to AP and not obstructing the construction of the Polavaram Project. He further said the people of AP are not in a position to believe the statements of KCR.
He said obstruction of Polavaram Project works means attack on the Andhra people. He alleged that KCR hatched a conspiracy in collusion with YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to defeat the TDP candidates. The TRS chief had sent Rs 200 crore to Mangalagiri and Rs 100 crore to Mylavaram to defeat the TDP nominees, he alleged.
