KCR plotting to take back 7 mandals, alleges Lokesh
Srikakulam: IT and panchayat raj minister and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh accused Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of trying to take back the seven Polavaram submerged mandals merged with AP and hence plotting to install a weak government in the form of YSRCP. He also said the neighbouring state was trying to create hurdles for the construction of Polavaram project.
Lokesh arrived at Government Junior College grounds at Palasa on Tuesday as part of his election campaign where thousands of people welcomed him with cheers and claps. From there, he went in a bike rally to Haripuram in Mandalsa mandal, which was adopted by him.
Stating that the government had allocated Rs 1,669 crore for the development of Palasa constituency, Lokesh assured irrigated water to Mandasa from Vamsadhara river. "If TDP wins 25 MP seats, we will decided who will be our prime minister and people need to understand and vote for TDP for continuation of development," he said.
TDP Palasa sitting MLA G S S Sivaji, his daughter and TDP candidate and party district president G Sirisha, party leaders Y Venkanna Chowdary, Zilla Grandhalaya Samstha (ZGS) chairman and TDP leader P Vital Rao and other accompanied Lokesh. Later, he left for Ponduru to participate in election campaign in Amudalavalasa constituency.
