Keep a close eye on code violations, officials told in Ongole
Ongole: Bapatla parliamentary constituency election observer Vikram Singh Sarma ordered the assistant and expenditure observers to keep a close eye on the code violations and attempt to influence the voters.
Speaking in a review meeting with the polling observers, expenditure observers, video surveillance team, and static surveillance team held in the conference room in collectorate on Tuesday, Sarma ordered that the vehicles transporting money and liquor in the parliament constituency should be ceased in the inspections.
He ordered that the expenditure of the meetings in the parliament constituency should be split between the parliament and assembly candidates equally.
He said that the rents of tents, chairs, meals and other expenditure for the rallies and meetings should be accounted for.
Police check posts were placed at the borders of the assembly constituencies and national highways and announced that the public can call the control room 08592 222100 or 1950 to report violations.
He assured that the officials will respond immediately on the complaints received at the control room.
The observer ordered the assistant observers, expenditure observers, surveillance team members to submit daily reports without fail.
The additional joint collector A Siri and other officials also participated in the meeting.
