KIMS, Amrutha hold police medical camp in Ongole

Ongole: The Prakasam district police organised a medical camp with the help of KIMS Hospital and Amrutha Hospital in the police kalyana mandapam in Ongole on Sunday.

Following the instructions of the district SP Siddharth Kaushal, the department arranged the medical camp with the cooperation of the KIMS and Amrutha hospitals for conducting free medical check-ups to the police personnel and their family members.

The Additional Superintendent of Police (Admin) B Sarath Babu inaugurated the camp and said that the department was observing the police martyrs week from October 16 to 21 and organising various service camps in all subdivisions for the last week.

As part of the programs, he said that they organized the medical camp for the benefit of police personnel and their families to identify any health risks and suggest the treatment. He said that many of the police personnel are suffering from ailments due to lack of knowledge and said that their families and society will be safe only when the policeman is healthy and fit.

The KIMS doctors team conducted diagnosis for the diseases of dental, orthopaedics, general medicine while the cardiologists' team from Amrutha hospital conducted diagnosis for heart diseases.

They conducted BP, blood sugar, ECG and other tests for free on the spot and referred the required persons to the hospitals for further evaluation. The additional SP, police personnel and their family members thanked the doctors' teams for their service in the medical camp.

The Ongole DSP KVVNV Prasad, AR DSP A Raghavendra Rao, SB2 CI N Srikanth Babu, Ongole town CIs Bhimanaik, Lakshman, RI Ankammarao and others also participated in the programme.
