Kotamreddy challenges Vijayasai to quit Rajya Sabha
Nellore: Nellore rural constituency TDP nominee Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has challenged Nellore YSRCP MP candidate V Vijayasai Reddy to first resign to his Rajya Sabha membership and later contest the election if he is confident of his victory.
Addressing reporters at the party office here on Sunday, Kotamreddy questioned Vijayasai Reddy as to why he was nor resigning to his post, if he had high confidence that his party will win all 7 Assembly segments and MP seat in the ensuing elections.
Finding fault with Kovuru YSRCP nominee Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy for his derogatory comments made against Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy in Saturday’s press conference at Panchedu village of Butchireddypalem mandal, Kotamreddy said it is highly unfortunate that a senior politician like Nallapureddy using such objectionable language against his political rival.
He pointed out that same Prasanna Kumar Reddy had called Vemireddy couple as ‘Adi Dampatulu’ during a yagam about two
months ago. He stated that Prasanna Kumar Reddy has no moral right to criticise Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy for joining TDP by quitting YSRCP, as Prasanna Kumar also changed parties three times since 1990.
