Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy addressing the media at his office in Nellore on Friday

Nellore: YSRCP MLA from Nellore Rural Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy alleged that Advisor to the Government Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has been warning him saying that he would be arrested anytime.

Reddy challenged the ruling party leaders to release the audio clippings of Sajjala wherein he alleged that Sridhar Reddy had secret conversation with liquor and sand mafias.

At a media conference here on Friday, Sridhar Reddy said he would have felt happy if the government had voluntarily asked the Centre for a probe on his allegations of phone tapping.

He said if he had done anything wrong Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy should have punished him. The government did not trust him and tapped his contacts and conversations. He said he had worked hard with utmost sincerity, but the leaders suspected him. He was also critical of Sajjala and his son Bhargava Reddy, social media in-charge of the ruling party.

He said the government should explain if it had asked for a probe by the Central investigating agency or not. If the government believes in transparency, it should ask the Central agencies for a thorough probe, he said.

Reddy said on December 25, during Christmas celebrations in Nellore, he was with the people till midnight, but the ruling party people alleged that he had met TDP leader Lokesh. He condemned the allegations of collecting Rs 2 lakh from movie theatres. He said after the YSR Congress came to power, they became function halls due to lack of patronage from the people. That being the situation how can anyone collect any money from the theatres, he asked.
