Krishnashtami celebrated with fervour in Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam: The people in the port city celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami with fervor and gaiety. Krishna temples in the city wore a festive look as fresh flowers add to the beauty of the ethnic decoration.
Dressed as little Krishna and Radha, kids were excited to participate in a row of school cultural programmes hosted by schools on the occasion. Sweet shops in the city were jam-packed with shoppers ordering kgs of Ladoos and milk sweets to offer to Lord Krishna.
Mahi Sharma from the city, says, "I have visited two to three sweet shops so far, and I couldn't find ladoo and pedas as they were flying off the shelves in no time." ISKCON temple in the Sagar Nagar is conducting a three-day grand festivities from Friday till August 25 and scheduled an array of cultural programmes.
Change of Venue
Hare Krishna Movement is organising three-day celebrations at Vizag Conventions, beside Cricket Stadium. Due to heavy rains, the Sri Krishna Janmashtami venue changed from Alwardas Grounds MVP Colony to Vizag Conventions beside cricket stadium.
