Kurnool: 298 Covid-19 patients discharged after recovery
Coronavirus in Kurnool: The relentless efforts of doctors, selfless services of nurses and other medical teams are reaping fruiting results in curing the Coronavirus positive patients. Acute care and good hospitality being provided at Kurnool government general hospital, Santiram and Vishwa Bharati Covid hospitals are a boon to the patients to fast recovery and early discharge.
Incredibly an 82-year-old woman, the eldest among the positive patients registered so far, was discharged on Tuesday from KGH state-level Covid hospital. Earlier, some days ago, a 78-year-old man was also discharged from the hospital.
She is the second patient and the eldest of all. On the other hand, a 3-year-old girl was also discharged from Santhiram Covid hospital. These three cases are the greatest achievements by the doctors of Covid hospitals, stated the Collector G Veera Pandiyan.
In a statement released to media on Tuesday, the Collector stated that the total number of discharges have reached to 298 including 14 new discharges on Tuesday.
Of the 14, 9 are from Kurnool GGH, 3 from Viswabharati and one (3-year-old girl child) from Santhiram Covid hospitals, stated the Collector.
He further stated that only 9 fresh positive cases, 7 from Kurnool and 2 from Nandyal, were reported on Tuesday taking the total count to 584. This cumulative figure includes 276 active and 298 discharges and 16 deaths, the Collector stated.
The Collector expressing happiness over the rising number of discharges and recovering of elderly persons said that the district administration was all set to combat the killer virus effectively.
He lauded the doctors, nurses and medical teams for their relentless efforts in taking acute care towards patients.
