Kurnool: Arrangements made for darshan of Lord at Srisailam

Kurnool: With the Endowments Commissioner according permission for darshan, the Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Srisailam is all set to open doors for devotees from June 10 onwards. The temple has made all arrangements keeping in view the latest guidelines to ensure physical distance and following all Covid-19 norms.

To test the efficacy of the systems, a trial run will be made for two days - Monday and Tuesday -, said temple executive officer KS Rama Rao. The Srisailam temple has been closed for darshan since March 28 due to lockdown imposed by the Central government to control the spread of coronavirus.

The EO addressed a meeting of the organisers of private satrams (choultries) at Srisialam on Sunday. He said devotees need to maintain social distance. Everyone that comes out of the house has to wear masks. They should wash their hands once in every two hours for at least 20 to 40 seconds with soaps or sanitisers.

He said rooms should be reserved through an online system and it should be in odd numbering system. The EO also ordered to check the registration slips of the devotees booked online for darshan. Only two persons have to be allowed in a room.

While allocating accommodation, the organisers have to collect the address, phone numbers, Xerox copy of Aadhaar card and their full details from where they have come from.

Prior to allocating rooms, the choultry management should check the temperature of pilgrims through thermal guns. If any of them are detected found with cold, cough or fever, then the officials at the primary health centre should be informed. After a room is vacated, it has to be sanitised.

Earlier, medical officer of primary health care center, Dr Soma Sekhar, created awareness on the precautionary measures to be taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
