Kurnool: Be alert while checking vehicles at check posts, SP Fakkeerappa Kaginelli tells cops

Kurnool: The Superintendent of Police, Fakkeerappa Kaginelli directed the police personnel to be always alert at the check posts across the district. He instructed them to take stringent action against those who violate election code of conduct. On Tuesday he visited Kodumur, Vemugodu, Pedda Harivanam, Yemmignoor-Adoni check posts and inspected the vehicles.

He ordered the police personnel to be strict while performing duties and should not compromise while checking vehicles. He also said that they are planning to set up interstate and inter district check posts. He also directed the police personnel to file bind over cases on the persons who create law and order problem in villages. Identify the most sensitive and sensitive villages, the SP said to officials. The SP said 106 hyper sensitive, 159 sensitive and 796 normal villages have been identified across the district where MPTC and ZPTC elections are scheduled. Similarly, with regard to municipalities, 33 hyper sensitive, 50 sensitive and 245 normal villages have been identified. And 204 hyper sensitive, 306 sensitive and 1,525 normal villages have been identified under gram panchayats in the district, stated the SP.

Fakkeerappa further said around 1314 persons across the district are possessing valid licensed weapons. So far 1175 weapons have been deposited and another 112 weapons are with banks and other 27 weapons are yet to be deposited.
