Kurnool: Complete oxygen plant by June-end, firm told

Kurnool: District collector G Veera Pandiyan has directed the Executive Engineer (EE) Vijay Bhaskar of APMSIDC to expedite the extension of liquid model oxygen plant at state level Covid hospital. He inspected the ongoing works of oxygen plant in hospital on Monday.

Addressing media after inspecting the plant, the collector said the present 11.5 KLD capacity plant is being upgraded to 20 KLD. The works need to take up on a war footing basis as the number of coronavirus cases are rapidly being registered, he pointed out.

He instructed the representatives of Bharat Pharma Lindo to complete the works by June-end at any cost.

If the plant is completed, then oxygen could be supplied to 2,000 beds, he disclosed. In view of the existing scenario, he asked the Bharat Pharma Lindo to complete the works without further delay. Hospital Superintendent Narendranath Reddy, APMSIDC Executive Engineer Vijay Bhaskar and others have accompanied the collector G Veera Pandiyan.
