Kurnool: Corona Positive woman delivers healthy baby
Kurnool: A covid-19 positive woman patient gave birth to healthy male baby that is tested negative. The District Collector, G Veera Pandiyan in a statement released to media persons on Tuesday has said that the 21-year-old woman was a Mumbai returnee. She is a resident of Nalla Mekala Palle Village in Aspari mandal. She was admitted at Vishwa Bharati covid hospital on May 12.
At the time of admission, she was carrying 9 months pregnancy, stated the Collector.
She was referred to Kurnool state level covid hospital on the advice of doctors on Monday. After shifting to Kurnool, she gave birth to a male healthy baby on Tuesday. Surprisingly the male baby was tested negative, the Collector said. The woman patient who tested positive has fully recovered and during two tests she was also tested negative. She is the one among the 12 patients that were given treatment and discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.
Of the 12 discharged patients, 11 persons are from Kurnool Town and the one women patient was from Aspari. All discharged patients were given Rs. 2,000 as financial aid following Covid-19 protocol, added Veera Pandiyan.
