Kurnool: Dejected over love failure minor girl attempts suicide

Kurnool: A minor girl, dejected over love failure, tried to commit suicide by consuming tablets. The incident took place at Alur police station on Friday late night when the cops were providing counselling to her. She was shifted to Alur Government General Hospital. According to the police, the minor girl is resident of Aspari village and developed an affair with one Madhu of Hosur village in Pathikonda.

Madhu is a railway employee at Aspari railway station. Without disclosing that he is a married person, he continued his relation with the girl. For the past some days, the girl started to exert pressure on Madhu to marry her. But he ignored her. When she came to know that Madhu got already married, she filed a complaint with Aspari police station.

When Aspari police did not take action against Madhu, the minor girl accompanied with her parents came to Alur police station and complained to the CI V Bhaskar. He called the parents of Madhu and gave counselling to both in the presence of family members. The minor girl who could not digest separation from her lover, consumed tablets brought with her.

The police and her family members shifted her to government hospital and she is presently under doctors' care. However, a case has been filed, said the CI V Bhaskar.
