Kurnool: Historic event in State since Independence, says Buggana Rajendranath Reddy

Kurnool: Minister for Finance Buggana Rajendranath Reddy and Minister for Labour Gummanur Jayaram on Friday participated at the Navarathanalu-Pedalandariki Illu scheme, house site patta distribution programme organised at their respective constituencies on Friday. District collector G Veera Pandiyan accompanied with Gummanur Jayaram at Alur programme while joint collector Rama Sundar Reddy joined with Buggana Rajendranath Reddy at Dhone.

As many as 2,07,490 house site pattas (1,06,100 YSR house site pattas and 1,01,390 Tidco) were distributed to the identified eligible beneficiaries across the district: Adoni-22,501, Alur 10,192, Allagadda 11,654, Banaganapalle 12,136, Dhone 11,692, Kodumur 9,269, Kurnool urban 35,237, Mantralayam 12,496, Nandikotkur 14,115, Nandyal 20,423, Panyam 8,778, Pathikonda 8,298, Srisailam 15,007 and Yemmiganur 15,693. A total of 2,07,480 house site pattas were distributed to the beneficiaries.

Addressing the programme organised at government girl's high school in Dhone town, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said that Jagananna housing schemes was being celebrated across the state as a festival. On the auspicious occasion, around 30.75 lakh house sites in 17,005 colonies are being distributed to the eligible beneficiaries. "This is an historic event in the history of Andhra Pradesh since the nation has achieved independence," said Buggana.

He further said that around 2.07 lakh (1.61 Jaganna house site pattas and 1.01 (Tidco) lakh house site pattas are being given to the eligible beneficiaries across the district. In the Dhone constituency alone around 11,700 house site pattas are being distributed. In the first phase, 11,400 houses have been given at Dorapalli and Udumulapadu villages.

Service roads, underpasses, double roads, central lighting would be provided with a cost of Rs 110 crores, added Buggana.

The finance minister further said that Dhone constituency was reeling under severe water problem. It was very hard to wet an acre. Under this situation, the former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy has extended water from Gajula Dinne Project (GDP). Now, the Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was trying to end the drinking water crisis in the entire Dhone constituency by supplying water from Gorukallu Reservoir, Buggana stated.

Even the Minister for Labour Gummanur Jayaram said that the dreams of the poor to own a house have come true with Navrathanalu-Pedalandariki Illu scheme. He along with the district collector G Veera Pandiya has participated at the house site patta distribution programme organised near power office at Bellary-Alur Highway.

Gummanur Jayaram said that every eligible poor was being given house site patta. The Chief Minister has even assured that the government will construct houses apart from giving house site pattas. MP Dr Sanjeev Kumar also participated at the house site patta distribution programme at Alur.

Similarly, the MLAs of the respective constituencies have also participated at the house site patta distribution programme.
