Kurnool: Following a call given by Dr Swetha Shetty, founder President of National Women Party (NWP), the party leaders have conducted a programme to distribute sanitisers, masks and homeopathy medicines, at Joharapuram village in the district on Thursday. Addressing the occasion Mahaboob Basha lauded the initiative of the NWP leaders for coming forward to save the people from falling prey to the killer corona virus. He said people are taking it easy but unknowingly getting infected by the virus. The infected person without his knowledge is also infecting others who come into his contact. The virus is spreading in this way, stated Mahaboob Basha.

He said people should wear masks when they come out and should not touch unnecessarily with hands. After going home, they need to clean hands with soaps for twenty seconds. While loitering outside people need to sanitise their hands after every interval.

NWP State Vice President, Shaik Sabeeha Sultana said the party is always in the service of people since long time. Since the announcement of lockdown by the central government people across the district have suffered a lot. At this time the National Women Party has lent a helping hand by distributing essential commodities and other needed articles, said Sabeeha Sultana.

General Secretary Munni, Tailors Association Treasurer SMd. Khasim and others took part at the distribution event.
