Kurnool: PDSU leaders demand release of scholarship dues to students

Kurnool: The district secretary of Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU), S Md Rafi demanded the state government to immediately release the pending scholarships and fee reimbursement. With the demand, the student union leaders staged a protest in front of Nandyal Mandal Tahsildar Office here on Monday. Later they submitted a representation to the Deputy Tahsildar, Rama Devi.

Rafi, addressing the media persons, said that fee reimbursement and scholarships amounting to crores are pending across the state.

Rafi said the government should know the problems being faced by the students. The government has to immediately release the pending scholarships, fee reimbursement, cosmetic and other allowances, he demanded.

The Deputy Tahsildar, Rama Devi responding to the representation, said that she will take the issue to the notice of District Collector. Prior to protest in front of Tahsildar Office a huge rally was taken out from Government Polytechnique college to Tahsildar office.
