Kurnool: Regular yoga practice will bust stress, strain, says EO KS Rama Rao

Kurnool: As part of protecting the Sanatana Dharma tradition, the authorities of Srisailam temple organised a Yoga programme at temple dakshina mada street here on Saturday. Yoga Acharya of Pathanjali Yoga Peetam participated and elaborated about the benefits of Yoga Asanas. The locals and several visitors have participated in the programme.

Yoga Acharya Bala Subramaniam prior to performing Asanas has taught about Surya Namaskaram and made the participants to do it. Later, Sukshma Vyayaamam and Pranayamam were also performed and Yoga Asanas programme was concluded with the Shanti mantra. One Shivaraj, a trainer from Bengaluru also participated and taught about the Asanas.

Temple Executive Officer (EO) K S Rama Rao said he was very fortunate to do Yoga at the Jyothirlinga Sakthi Peetam. It is also mentioned in our epics that Parama Shiva was an Adi Yogi. India is an institution of Vedic knowledge and the science of Yoga is one among other sciences. He further said the physical, breathing, concentration, pranayama and some mudras were the important asanas in Yoga. By practicing Yoga regularly, one can attain peace of mind, relieving from pain and can lead a healthy life, stated the EO.

Yoga Acharya Bala Subramaian said with the blessings of Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Ammanavaru, we had an opportunity to perform the Yoga programme. He also said by practicing Yoga asana, one can relieve from stress and can enhance their immunity power.

Later the representatives of Pathanjali Yoga Peetam felicitated the temple Executive Officer. Assistant Executive Officer M Hari Dasu, Public Relation Officer (PRO) T Srinivasa Rao and other participated in the Yoga programme.
