Kurnool: Sanjamala Tahsildar caught in ACB trap

Kurnool: The sleuths of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught Sanjamala Mandal Tahsildar red-handed while accepting bribe amount Rs. 5000 from one J Rameshwaram Reddy. The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) M Nagabhushnam disclosing the facts to media personnel on Thursday has said that the accused R Govind Singh is discharging responsibilities as Tahsilaldar of Sanjamala Mandal.

He has demanded bribe from J Rameshwar Reddy a resident of Sanjamala for issuing e-pass book and processing of land mutation situated in Sy.No. 1216-1, Alvakonda village, Sanjamala Mandal.

J Rameshwar Reddy has approached the ACB and lodged a complaint stating the demand of the Tahsildar R Govind Singh. Basing the complaint we laid a trap and caught the tainted Tahsildar red-handed while accepting the bribe amount of Rs. 5000 at his office in Sanjamala from the farmer J Rameshwar Reddy. We have seized the amount and took him into custody.

A case has been filed and he would be produced in the ACB Court for initiating appropriate action, stated the ACB, DSP, M Nagabhushnam.
