Kurnool: Services of Swarga Dhamam Samithi hailed

Kurnool: Nandyal sub-collector Kalpana Kumari has said that the members of Hindu Swarga Dhamam Samithi are performing cremations at affordable cost.

They are charging Rs 750 towards cremation besides arranging Santhi Ratham for transporting the dead bodies. She was speaking after participating at a sapling plantation drive organised by the members of Swarga Dhamam Samithi on Sunday. The Hindu Swarga Dhamam is located on Nandyal-Bheemavaram road.

The sub-collector said that the samithi members had planted around 400 saplings in memory of renowned singer S P Balasubramaniam. Each sapling was tagged with a song sung by SP Balu. The aim of raising trees on the premises is to create a pleasant atmosphere and other necessary facilities.

The poor people who could not afford huge amounts can avail the services of Swarga Dhamam Samithi. Kalpana lauded the services being rendered by the samithi members and appealed to others to extend support to the Samithi.

Members of Nava Nirmana Samithi, Budding Hand Society, Shiva Kumar Reddy, Dr Madhushudhan Rao, Deputy chief Inspector of Factories, Shiva Kumar Reddy, Nandyal Tahsildar, Ravi Kumar, former councillor, Subramanyam, Shankar, Vankatasubbaiah and others participated at the plantation drive and planted tree saplings.
