Kurnool: TDP activists injured in clash with YSRCP cadres over jungle clearance
Kurnool: Some loyalists of TDP sustained grievous injuries when the YSRCP and TDP activists indulged in group clashes and attacked each other with sticks and rods. This incident took place at Tippaldoddi village in Kowthalam mandal on Sunday late evening. The incident came to light when the victims lodged complaint with the police on Monday.
According to information, the activists of TDP have obstructed jungle clearance being done by the YSRCP activists. With this, the YSR Congress party activists became furious and attacked TD men. It is alleged that the YSRCP men have sprinkled mirch powder on TDP men before attacking them with rods and sticks.
In the attack, Mallaiah, Hanumesh, Neelakanta, Nagaraju and Danappa Naidu sustained serious injuries. The issue was brought to the notice of Kowthalam police. The Sub Inspector, Nagarjuna Reddy rushed to the spot and enquired the reasons behind the attack. Based on the complaint lodged by the victims, a case was filed on Ampaiah, Ayyappu Rami Reddy, Uligaiah, Vera Reddy and six others. The TDP Mantralayam in-charge, Tikka Reddy rushed to Tippaldoddi village and consoled the victims. The Circle Inspector of Adoni Taluka police station, M Parthasaradhi said to The Hans India on Monday that the persons involved in attack are relatives. It is nothing to do with parties. Some family members have joined YSR Congress and the remaining have stayed in TDP, said the officer.
