Kurnool: The family members, relatives and friends of Annem Jyothi, heaved a great sigh of relief after the Indian Embassy brought her back to India from Wuhan in China on Thursday. Jyothi boarded the special relief flight sent from India on Wednesday and safely landed at Delhi on Thursday morning. However, Jyothi, of Ernapadu village in Bandi Atmakur mandal in the district, will reach her home only after two weeks of quarantine period is completed.

Her fiancé Amarnath Reddy told The Hans India, "We are very happy that Jyothi has been brought back to India safely. Currently she has been sent to military medical camp where she will be kept under observation. It is said she has to stay for a fortnight at the medical camp. Those who came come to India from China earlier than Jyothi too were also kept at medical camp for a period of 20 days."

He said they were expecting Jyohti at Kurnool as early as possible since she has no coronavirus symptoms.

Amaranath Reddy profusely thanked the media for being with them in times of need. When asked about the marriage scheduled for March 14, he said, "Let Jyothi reach Kurnool first. We are thinking of postponing to another date."
