Kurnool: Two of a family die; 4 others hurt as car turns turtle

Kurnool: Two persons died on the spot and four others were critically injured at a road accident that occurred at Obulapuram Metta under Dhone police station limits on Saturday.

As per the information given by Sub-Inspector B Madhusudhana Rao, a family consisting of five members, were going in a Bolero car to Maharashtra from Krishna Giri in Tamil Nadu State.

The car crashed into a road divider at Obulapuram Metta and turned turtle. In the mishap, Madan Lal (35) and his seven-year- old son died on the spot. His wife, daughter and a relative, sustained severe injuries.

The passersby informed the police about the accident. The police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Kurnool Government General Hospital.

The police also informed the relatives of the victims about the mishap. According to police, Madan Lal who was driving the car fell asleep resulting in the ghastly mishap.

The family members were proceeding to Maharashtra to attend a wedding.
