KVP Ramachandra Rao writes to centre and AP government over implementation of AP bifurcation Act
Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao has written letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM YS Jagan on the implementation of Andhra Pradesh Bifurcation Act. In the letter, he requested Prime Minister Modi to provide 90 per cent of funds for industrial tax concessions, Bundelkhand-style package for backward areas and central government schemes. "Modi came to power saying he would do justice to the AP, however, failed to fulfil; we demand the implementation of the promises given before the elections, " KVP said.
KVP criticised the centre for not delivering its promises and urged to do justice to people by providing support to industrial concessions, employment. KVP asked the centre to provide 30 per cent extra finds in addition to 60% of the funds given to the central government schemes over the past six years. KVP sought the centre to help the state until it competes with other states.
KVP Ramachandra Rao wrote another letter to Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan asking him to fight with centre to acquire the benefits from the centre. He advised Jagan to enforce the provisions mentioned in AP bifurcation Act.
