Amaravati: Telugu Desam Party State president K Atchannaidu on Sunday accused the YSRCP government of levelling baseless allegations against the TDP leaders with an ulterior motive to cover up the unchecked land grabbing by the ruling party leaders in Visakhapatnam and its surrounding areas.

Atchannaidu said that the YSRCP leaders are casting aspersions against TDP MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna and ex MLA Peela Govind out of sheer political vengeance. A false information campaign is going on against the TDP leaders that they were involved in land encroachments.

In a statement here, the TDP leader demanded the Jagan regime to give proof of the land grabs committed by these Opposition leaders.

The Rushikonda land was bought by one person 50 years ago. After that, the same land changed two hands. Later, Velagapudi Ramakrishna bought this land over 20 years ago. When there was a dispute, the matter was taken to the court. There was a court decree also ordering for non-interference of anybody in that land. Despite the court decree, the YSRCP government is interfering with this now.

Atchannaidu said that the YSRCP launched vicious propaganda against Peela Govind as well with regard to the alleged encroachment of the government lands at BD Palem in Anandapuram mandal. The YSRCP should submit the proofs to prove these charges. The Jagan regime has adopted a bankrupt policy of maligning the TDP leaders in order to divert the public attention from the unchecked encroachments by the ruling party coterie.

Atchannaidu deplored that the government demolished over 20 shops belonging to the TDP sympathisers out of sheer political vendetta. The previous TDP regime promoted Happy Sunday events for the entertainment of the people but the YSRCP government is only bent upon demolishing everything leaving no scope for joy and happiness in the lives of the general public. The destructive regime of Jagan Reddy has begun with demolition of public and private property which even now pushing the State into deeper darkness with each passing day.
