Legal awareness camp for nomadic tribes held

Ongole: The Constitution of India has given equal opportunities to each and every citizen of the country and law was not limited to one or other but implies to all, announced junior civil judge M Sudha.

She and another junior civil judge K Kanaka Lakshmi participated in the legal awareness camp held by the District Legal Services Authority for the nomadic tribes at Gandhi Nagar here on Sunday.Sudha said that the public in the country have rights and responsibilities and it is the duty for everyone to respect all of them. She said that the DLSA is organizing legal awareness camps in even remote places so that the public should be aware of their provisions.

Kanaka Lakshmi said that everyone should be educated and lead a decent life and asked the tribal people to send their children to school. She said that child marriages were punishable offenses and asked them not to resort to them.

She advised them to find amicable solutions for themselves to their issues and DLSA will support them.HELP programme officer and paralegal volunteer BV Sagar, Childline representatives M Murali Krishna and K Sasikanth and others also participated in the programme.
