Legal Metrology department conducts awareness meet for traders: Controller MNS Madhuri

Ravulapalem: An awareness meet was organised for traders by legal metrology department on various aspects of legal metrology act. Addressing the traders at Chamber of Commerce meeting hall here on Tuesday, East Godavari Legal Metrology assistant Controller MNS Madhuri and deputy controller of Eluru B Ram Kumar explained in detail on various aspects in legal metrology.

The officials asked the traders to get their weighing machines verified at stipulated period as specified by the department. The traders were asked to verify working of machines before commencing business activity every day.

The traders can verify the weighing machines by using stamped weigh stones. The traders will have toll pay heavy penalties including departmental action for violates to the guidelines of the department the officials made it clear to the traders.
