Legislators getting disproportionate pension: MLC contestant N Sesha Reddy

Rajamahendravaram: East and West Godavari districts Graduate MLC Constituency contestant and Aditya Educational Group chairman N Sesha Reddy has assured to put his efforts to cancel Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and said he is ready to go on indefinite hunger strike in this regard.

Participating in Meet the Press programme at Press Club here on Tuesday, he said while employees getting a monthly pension of Rs 3,000 only after working in the government for 30 to 33 years, MLAs and MLCs are getting thousands of rupees as pension after completion of five-year term.

As chairman of Aditya Educational Group (AEG) and as a former teacher and lecturer, he said he is well aware of the problems of teachers.

As an MLC from teacher's constituency, he spoke 110 times in the council during two years of tenure. As MLA, he developed Anaparthi constituency on all fronts, he said.
