Nidadavole: A special fund would be created with Rs 5,000 crore for developing agriculture in West Godavari district and providing marketing and cold storage facilities, said Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan while addressing a massive public meeting here on Monday.

As part of electioneering for the upcoming elections to the Assembly and Lok Sabha, Pawan said that one lakh acres of barren land would be acquired and one lakh young farmers would be trained in agriculture.

He appealed to the people to elect Dr Akula Satyanarayana as the Member of Parliament from Rajamahendravaram to echo their voices in Parliament. He pointed out that though Nidadavole is an important junction, important trains do not have a halt.

Pawan said that discrimination of caste, creed and community should go to achieve an inclusive growth in the society. "Otherwise, the development would be confined to some particular sections of the society like Jagan and Chandrababu Naidu," he said.

Assuring that doctors would be appointed in all the primary health centres, he said that the bridge at Samishragudem would be built in 16 months for the benefit of 40 villages.

He promised to the housewives that they would be supplied 10 gas cylinders per annum irrespective of their financial status.

He said that under Maa Inti Mahalakshmi scheme, brides would be given Rs one lakh and Rs 50,000 interest-free loan towards marriage expenses.

Instead of supplying ration, the housewives would be paid Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,500 directly into their accounts, he added.

"The farmers would be paid Rs. 5,000 pension after attaining the age of 60," Pawan said adding that the solar power would be supplied free of cost to the farmers.

He also announced Rs 5,000 pension for handloom workers and fishermen. Small traders would be provided loans without any surety.

Assailing the Naidu administration for not filling up government posts, he wondered if Naidu has a fear that there would be no money to be looted by the Janmabhoomi Committees if the posts are filled.

He assured the youth that 3 lakh government jobs would be filled within six months after coming to power.

He said that unlike Jagan, he would not treat the SCs and STs as vote banks.

Stating that both the TDP and YSRCP have lost their strength, he said the cycle's (TDP symbol) chain is broken and there is no power in the fan (YSRCP symbol).
